June 19 last year was a day of celebration for Chile and Peru. On that day, the official announcement of Pope Francis' visit to both countries was made public. Several months have passed, and the arrival of the Holy Father to Chile, on January 15, and to Peru, is imminent. The first time the Pope traveled to Latin America was to Brazil in 2013, shortly after being elected, on the occasion of World Youth Day. Now it is time for Chile and Peru.
